Two Monadnock Region schools have been honored by the state education officials for their work to improve student achievement.
Emerson Elementary School in Fitzwilliam has been recognized for closing the gap between regular education and special-education students, while Fall Mountain Regional High School in Langdon was honored for its work as part of the League of Innovative Schools.
The League of Innovative Schools is run through the New England Secondary School Consortium. It was founded in 2011 as a network where private and public secondary schools could collaborate and exchange ideas to improve the education offered to students, according to the organization’s website.
